He also worked with HR, Product, and the Office of the Presidents to help translate how digital innovation could transform their business. While at Farmers, Ryon earned a Guinness World Record for most Facebook Likes in 24-hours with a first-of-its-kind social game integration with Zynga.
Among his high-impact initiatives, Ryon activated more than 5,000 local agents on social networks like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. His AgentPage program created a new sales and marketing channel for Farmers and resulted in an 8-figure revenue increase from thousands of new policies sold by local agents on social. Five years later, active participation in AgentPage is still a core measurement in how their distribution team rates agency performance.
Ryon is a lifelong entrepreneur, beginning with the founding of Symblr in 2008, a social network for stock market investors. His work on Symblr was derived from his experience as the President of Trilogy Capital Partners, a boutique investor relations firm. His work at Trilogy led to then revolutionary, but now standard, ways to connect public companies with their investors on social media channels like Twitter.
Ryon is a sought-after speaker at financial services conferences. He was recently asked to speak at a LIMRA/LOMA conference on the potential impact of predictive analytics on insurance. Ryon is a doting father to his precocious 6-year old daughter. They spend quality time together turning her playground fantasies into fictional stories. He also tries to teach her responsibility, but she ends up making him do all of her chores anyway. He has a severe weakness for cuteness.
